Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Terry Robert Smith, age 62

Terry Robert Smith, 62, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away in his home while surrounded by loved ones on March 21, 2024. Terry was born on January 19, 1962 in Newport, Arkansas to Jack and Wilma Smith.

Terry loved hunting and fishing his whole life. When in good health, you could find Terry on the water or somewhere in the woods! He shot a 16-point buck at just 14 years old and never stopped! Terry was also a lover of vehicles. He always seemed to drive something fun and unique. He was an avid jokester, often making people laugh. Seems like he always “had something to say”. He had a few rough years in poor health but always tried to stay positive and just kept on going. He really enjoyed watching Sunday Morning services on Facebook through Chastain Chapel and Mountain Top Cowboy Church. The services are at two different times and he would watch them both weekly.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Carmen Smith, his daughters Kathryn Smith and Kristen Smith (Mitch), His son Brandon Smith (Tessa), Stepson Reo Howard, Step Daughter Danielle Benson (Koal), Sisters, Jolene Lamberti (Mark) and Sarah Stout (Charlie), Brother, Josh Smith (Juana), 13 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous other family and friends.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents and his brother David Smith.

Terry will be remembered for his kindness, love for his family, many jokes and funny comments to always keep life fun! He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Terry’s wishes were for his family to not have a funeral service, but for them to get together in a few weeks, reminisce and have some dessert on him!

I will miss your quick wit on Facebook, out banter back and forth about if you can drink too much coffee, and about showing me the door when I share a joke that’s a little corny. Rest in peace. To your family and friends my heart goes out to you all. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

This man was amazing to have as family. He accepted us in with open heart and arms. He will definitely be missed.

The only two times I rode a motorcycle they were yours. One I fell of the back of and the other I barely missed a bush and mailbox as my only experience driving a motorcycle. We spent so many days deer hunting, duck hunting, and fishing. I will miss you and now feel terrible that I wasn’t around more these last few years. But I know we will meet again and I look forward to seeing you then.
