Vernon was a great guy, always happy with a smile and much like a father or grandfather to all the young men working with him. He loved fellowship with the men he worked with. We miss him, and wish the family peace after this loss.

First met Vernon in October of 1992 when I struck out into the real world as young man. Bought the place next door to him and Beverly needless to say I hit paydirt as far as neighbors go. He offered advice and would lend me a hand when needed. He will always be remembered and have a place in my heart. Rest in peace Vernon.
