Latonia Evette Mitchell-Douglas, 64, passed away March 22, 2024. She was born August 25, 1959, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Johnny Dean Mitchell and Mary Francis Rice.

Latonia is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Stephanie G. Mitchell.

Latonia leaves behind her loving siblings Randle Mitchell of Arkansas, Pamela Mitchell of Arkansas, Cathy Brangman of Illinois, Jacqueline Nicole Wolf of Wisconsin, and Robin Mitchell Harris (Briant) of Rockford Illinois; her nieces and nephews Randle JR (Shalenna), Shanise, Tramayne, Lamar, Javielle, Tieren, Classic (Tia), Zerah, and many extended family and friends.

Latonia was a 1976 graduate of Philander Smith College. She was a great teacher and taught at Gibbs Elementary School as a Physical Education teacher.
