Leroy Winter, age 82, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on April 24, 2024. He was born in Basilica, Mississippi on August 2, 1941 to parents Lee Winter and Cora (Betts) Winter.
Leroy was a very active member of the Jacksonville Senior Citizen’s Center. He enjoyed playing bean-bag baseball and bingo. In his spare time, he liked watching old westerns, catfishing, and challenging his mind with word search puzzles.
Leroy is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Glenda Winter; three brothers Joe Winter, LD Winter, Junior Winter; and three children Sarah Winter, Patricia Winter, and Anthony Winter.
He is survived by his children Lisa Hunt, Charlotte Davis, Cynthia Marshall (Troy), and Phobie Ford (Curtis); 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; lifelong friend Larry Holbrook; special friends Barbara, Carol, and Linda; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A visitation will be held to honor Leroy’s life on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 2:00-4:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
