Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Mary Frances Burnett, age 75

On April 20, 2024, Mary Frances Burnett, 75, transitioned from her physical body to her spiritual realm at Baptist hospital in Little Rock, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mildred (Pemberton) Forrest, her sister Sherry, her brothers Don (Texas) and Steve (Tennessee).

She is survived by her sons, Brian & Kenny Burnett & grandchildren-Zack, Haley, Eric, Stormy, Wayne, Tasha, Rebecca.

Her siblings: Paul (Ann) Forrest -Monticello, Anita Booker-Monticello, Gaylon -Monticello, Sarah (Darrell) Land-Warren, Lisa (Todd)-Oklahoma, Glen Forrest-Monticello.

She loved the Lord. She graduated from Monticello High School. She retired from a custodial position from UAM. For a short time, her life’s journey took her to Texas. Her journey in life came with many struggles which included macular degeneration which limited her vision and she would reach a point in life that she could no longer drive. With retirement she would face challenges of providing for herself & her sons.

Frances’s life took a turn when her mother died and then a storm took out her home. With no insurance or support systems in place she knew she had to make a new home for herself and 2 sons. Frances was known for her laid back easy attitude and loved the simple things of life. While she may not have had many material things in life, she gave what meant the most to her- a mother’s love and support to her sons and grandchildren. She would tell you that her mother, Mildred, was her strongest and her most faithful friend who loved her, her sons & her great grandchildren unconditionally.

She will be greatly missed by her sons, grandchildren, & friends who appreciated her kindness. She will be forever remembered in their hearts.

A Natural State Funeral and Crematory will be over the arrangements and a memorial service will be held in Monticello for her children and friends at a later date to be announced.
