Anne L. Justice, age 87, of Vilonia, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2024.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents Luther and Mary (Cates) Tarrants; husband James K. Justice; and son Richard Justice Sr.
Anne leaves behind to cherish sons, David (Brenda) Justice and James R. Justice Sr.; grandchildren, Richard (Kandi) Justice Jr, James (Tammy) Justice, Jeny Gore, Shannon (Travis) Wooldridge, Mandy (Jeremy) Johnson, Kasey (Taylor) Phillips, James R. Justice Jr; 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Some knew Anne as Wonder Woman, and she was just that. Anne married the love of her life in 1951, and they gave life to three sons. They raised their boys in their Levy grocery store, Jim’s IGA Market. They became grandparents for the first time in 1972 and soon after retired from the grocery store. After Jim’s sudden death in 1989, Anne started volunteering her time at voting polls, and she became an employee of Walmart. She was an avid Christian; devoting her time to Remount Baptist Church, Samaritan’s Purse, the Red Cross, and a multitude of other charities. One of her most treasured past times were spent doing aerobics with her friends at Body and Soul. In her later years, you could find her playing cards or her favorite, Dominos, and watching game shows and Andy Griffin. She is loved by many and will live in our hearts forever. “Mammy, thank you for loving and guiding us. We will love you always!”
A graveside service will be held to honor Anne’s life on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 10:00am followed by burial at 11:00am at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Remount Baptist Church.
