Luther James Claggett, age 81

Luther James Claggett, age 81 of Bald Knob, Arkansas passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. He was born on July 23, 1942 in Fredericks Town, Maryland to the late Aubrey Albert Claggett and the late Lillian Frances Stobb Claggett.

Luther was an over the road truck driver for many years and loved his family deeply.  He enjoyed fishing, puzzles and collecting baseball cards, coins and stamps.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Sarah Holt.

He is survived by his significant other Debbie Mercer, his three children; Lynn Corbitt of, Arkansas, Luther “Sam” Claggett of Virginia, and Missy Mercer of Bradford, Arkansas, Nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren as well as four siblings; Aubrey Claggett, Larry Claggett, Beatrice Claggett- Brice, Charles Claggett, and John Claggett as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
