George Joseph Lubert Jr., 66, passed away on July 5, 2024 at his home in Vilonia, Arkansas.
George was born to George Lubert Sr and Violet (Reynolds) Lubert in Rochester, Pennsylvania. He was raised in Freedom, Pennsylvania with both of his parents and four siblings. Growing up, George was a prankster and he and his best friend Kenny Horner (surviving) were often partners in crime. He leaves behind his sisters Carol Blishak and Connie (Bill) Scott; brother Charles Lubert; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his youngest sister Clarissa Tabin.
George left Freedom to join the United States Air Force, where he would serve 20-years. During his service, he traveled the world and served overseas in Operation Desert Storm. He and his first wife, Karen (passed) had two sons: Steven (Kelly) Lubert and Shawn Lubert. He later met his second wife Claire while overseas in the United Kingdom and became father to her son Gary Currer and had two daughters: Melissa Lubert and Tiffany (Kevin) McPherson. He is survived by 10 grandchildren: Anthony, Sebastian, Hannah, Kaitlyn, Benjamin, Charlie, Jack, Ethan, Jake, and Jordan. He also leaves behind three great-grandchildren: Ozark, Elyza, and Izaac. He is also preceded in death by his final wife, Cheryl Lubert.
