Julie Queen, age 67, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away peacefully at her home on July 24, 2024. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, LTC. Alfred and Mary Munz; her daughter’s father and ex-husband, Dr. George Queen and the late Bill Ginsburg; and brother-in-law George Ginsburg.
She leaves behind her daughter, Delta Queen, and her grandchildren, Creed Lynch, Cash Looper and Parker-Grace Queen; her brothers Jon Munz and wife Susan, and Delfred Munz; her nieces Skyler and Crystal Munz, Madi and Kat Ginsburg, and Shelly Baron; her nephews Jon Munz II and wife Kristen, and Adam Baron; her best friend and “sister” Valerie Ginsburg; as well as her stepdaughters and stepson and sister-in-law Millie Baron-Stoyonov.
Julie was born in El Paso, TX and moved to Hot Springs, AR in 1970. She graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1975. She was the co-founder of Superior Senior Care that was started in 1985 with her dear friend Rita Hurst. Julie worked for Q. Byrum Hurst in the legal field for years. She also worked for Nancy Horner in real estate management and later entered the Real Estate career where they called her the “Queen of the Water”. She retired from Startek where she was a supervisor and made an impact on many young adults that she worked with. She was great at whatever field she worked in. Julie loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. She knew Him and found comfort in knowing she was going to Heaven when the time came. She was loved by everyone, and she didn’t know a stranger. She also had so much love and kindness she gave to anyone she met. Her legacy of love without limits and loved big and hard, be kind no matter what and always, leave people in better shape than when you found them. Her greatest accomplishment was being a Gigi to Creed, Cash and Parker-Grace. Her world revolved around them as well as her daughter Delta. To know Julie was to love Julie. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family will meet for a celebration of life Wednesday, August 7th at 5:30pm at The Event Room; 3907 Central Avenue Suite G, Hot Springs, Ar. 71913. If anyone would like to send flowers, please send them to the event center.
Julie’s wish was that her ashes be spread in nature, close to Lake Ouachita, so she could finally be free. And free she shall be.
Honorary Pallbearers are Pam Hill, Nadra Allen, Rita Hurst, Q. Byrum Hurst, Valerie Ginsburg, Beverly Walters, Nathan Lynch, Michael Coakley, Creed Lynch, and Jessica Parker.
