Phillip Toland, a devoted husband, father, and servant of God, passed away on Wednesday July 17th, 2024, at the age of 63. Born on March 29th, 1961, Phillip lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a commitment to his faith.
A resident of Cabot, AR, Phillip was a dedicated employee of Home Depot for 34 years, where he shared his passion for helping others. He was an active member of 1st Assembly in North Little Rock and Forever Free at 1st Assembly in Vilonia, where he served with joy and humility.
Phillip’s love for God was evident in every aspect of his life. He found solace in the words of Psalms 30:11-12, “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!”
When he wasn’t working or serving, Phillip loved to indulge in his favorite hobbies – NASCAR, fishing, and woodworking. His unique touch of charring wood created beautiful pieces that will be cherished by his loved ones.
Phillip was preceded in death by his mother Helen Toland and his in laws Jack and Thetus Lamb. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 22 years, Diana Toland. They had 5 children and 12 grandchildren between them; daughter, Sarah Toland Kilgore (Rodney), children, Keegan and Emma Rose, son, Stephen Toland (Lisa), child, Hero, stepson, Stephen Miller (Melanie), stepdaughters, Kim Oxner (John) and Christy Herbert (Jarrod). Also left to cherish his memory are his father, Bobby Toland (pop); his sisters Denise Toland Duncan and Gail Toland Grayson (Rob), niece Amber Smith, and nephews Jason Smith and Daniel Grayson. May you rest in Peace Phillip. I am proud to have worked with you for years! May the family be blessed in their time of grief. My prayers to you.
I love you daddy! The kids and I tried to imagine what you must be experiencing, touching, feeling tonight. When I asked Keegan he said first thing is you would get a new name, then, after that. You would get to hug Jesus and see amazing things and eat whatever you want. I asked him what you would want to eat and he said “SUSHI!” When I talked about it with Emma she said she vets you would be apart of every rainbow we see. We wouldn’t be able to see you because you would be apart of the colors but we would know you were there. We love you so much and know we will see you one day in heaven ❤️
Diane, I am so sorry for your loss. I will forever remember his happy smile at the Hook on Sundays. Take care of yourself. Prayers for you Sister.
Prayers to the Toland family!
