Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Rebecca (Becky) Lee Wilkes, age 79

Rebecca (Becky) Lee Wilkes, 79, of Fort Smith left her earthly life Monday, July 15 at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock. She was born March 12, 1945, to Rodman and Dorothy Cuzort. She was married to Bobby Jo Wilkes. They preceded her in death, along with her daughter, Kelly Satterfield.

Becky was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Fort Smith. She and her husband owned and operated Wilkes Grocery in Fort Smith for 25 years. They enjoyed farming and gardening together. She spent several years working in retail, mostly at local fabric stores where she could share her love of sewing and crafting with her customers. Becky always had a sewing project in process, especially making blankets and quilts for her family. If you had a conversation with her she was sure to mention her family, especially her grandkids, and how much she loved them.
She is survived by her son, Mark and Erin of Cabot, her daughter, Wendy and John Hall of Fort Smith, and sister Cindy and Joe Davis. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A family-hosted graveside service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 10:00am at Fort Smith National Cemetery; 522 Garland Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Becky Wilkes and her husband Bob were my neighbor for over 30 years and always treated me like family. If I needed anything they were there to help. Becky liked to quilt and made some of the most beautiful Quilts. She was always sewing or crafting. I worked at Northside High School and was the High school Counselor to some of the Wilkes children. They too were good to me. Sometimes I would be out of town and when I got back my lawn would be cut. They would feed my dog for me and always got my mail, just good people I loved them all. Rest in peace my dear friend.
