Corey Gene Horn, age 78, died Friday, August 23, 2024. After a relentless battle with cancer, he died in his wife’s arms. He was preceded in death by his parents Euell and Lonis Horn; his brothers Dawson, Bill, and LD Horn; as well as a stepson Jeremy Wyatt.
Corey was a son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Serving in the Vietnam War on the Cadmus AR, the Boxer out of Cuba for four years, Corey came home to be a pharmaceutical salesman and was an award-winning barber and hairstylist for over 35 years, as well as an avid horseman and outdoorsman.
He leaves behind his wife Deborah; a son Danny and his wife Vickie; a granddaughter Glory Jo Horn and her beautiful daughters Kimber Ann and Lana Faye; and a stepson Jon and Ramsey Champagne and sons Arlo and Franklin.
Corey held a special place in his heart for a niece Becky Rogers and a nephew Andy Horn, as they were always helpful and encouraging for him with a call or a visit.
Also, a special friend, Ron Brush, which Corey called his brother from another mother. Ron was there constant in his illness.
After cremation, a private ceremony will be held in the Ozarks where the ashes will remain.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to make donations to Arkansas Hospice.
