Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Jon Darren Shaddock, age 54

Jon Darren Shaddock, 54, of Camden passed away peacefully in his home on August 12, 2024.

Jon was born at JRMC in Pine Bluff on September 18, 1969 to Frances Lou House and Jesse Oliver Shaddock, both of whom have preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Wayne Owens, of Sheridan.

Jon was best described as an adventurer who loved all things fast in his younger years. However, as he got older, he slowed down and enjoyed the sweeter things in life, spending time with those he loved. Jon loved to be on the water and fishing with his son in law and fishing buddy, James Coker. Jon was a loving man who was never afraid to tell those around him how much they meant to him. He was very loved and will be missed greatly.

Jon is survived by one brother, James Michael Owens (Cameron), of Sheridan, his loving girlfriend whom he adored since the 4th grade, Tina Rains; children, Tiphany Rains, Colby Rains, Bethany Rains, Victoria Coker (James Coker) and Jasmine Richey. Jon is also survived by his most favorite of people, his 14 grandchildren; Kaden, Devin, Taliah, Brandon, Ethan, Callie, Memphis, Beau, Karson, Coblie, Aria, Hadley, Avery, and Gabby, as well as 4 bonus grandchildren: Raylee, Aleeah, Isaac, and Raylyn. These babies were the absolute love of his life. There was hardly ever a conversation had when he wasn’t bragging on his grand babies. Jon is also survived by his best friends, Chris Sisson, Tommy King and Joey and David Taylor.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Family will be contacted.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, AR in helping with Jon’s final expenses.

Jon and I kept in touch and we spoke a week before his death. He was in good spirits and he told me he was excited to be starting a new life in Texas soon. I’m sorry his plans didn’t work out but I’m sure he’s happy anyways. Enjoy your rest Jon you deserve it. I’ll miss our talks .

My Husband had the privilege of leading Jon to Christ a few months ago. Then he became a member of our church Fellowship Baptist of Bearden. He will be greatly missed. We are praying for his family.
