Ruby Faye Spicer, age 81

Ruby Faye Spicer, 81, of Stuttgart went to her heavenly home on August 6th surrounded by her loving family. Ruby was born September 22, 1942 in Sherrill, Ar to Carl Frances and Lou Ella Brock-Stokes. She moved to Stuttgart where she met her husband of 64 years, Don Charles Spicer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Glenn and Horace Stokes, and three sisters Geraldine Farrar, Evelyn Lovell, and Marilyn Clinton.

She is survived by her husband, four children Cheryl Lynn Spicer, Charles Gregory Spicer, Cindy Annette Spicer of Stuttgart, Ar and Don Mark Spicer of Gillette, Ar. Seven grandchildren Jessica Lynn Owens, Juston Chad Owens, Chasity Chastain Ponder, Courtney Brooke Nothern, Ashlyn Blair Spicer, Triston Cache Spicer and Samantha Kline Spicer Mansour of Stuttgart, Ar. ten great grandchildren Kameron Cohl and Mia Lynn Symone Berry, Aiden Maclaine, Jackson Blaine, Harleigh Brooke and Abigail Grace Owens, Justin Gaje Neil Ponder, Ryker Jade and Ryder Broox Calvert and Tate Mansour all of Stuttgart, Ar. One brother Cleburne Stokes of Friona TX ,two sisters, Marie Bradley of Swan Lake, Ar and Irene Ingiald of Royal, Ar and a slew of nieces and nephews.

Ruby was an avid bowler of 40 years and loved taking her cane pole and sitting on the bank fishing, and trying her Lady Luck at the Casino. She also enjoyed her girls night out with best friends Ernestine Owens and Delores Bunyard. She looked forward to her yearly trip with her sisters and two nieces where they still argued and acted just like they did when they were young. Ruby was a very devoted wife, mother and Grandmomma who loved her family dearly and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. In her final years, Grandmomma was loved and cared for at home by her kids and grandkids. She is and will be missed terribly and will forever live and be loved in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

    We enjoyed Rubys visits to our office in Stuttgart where her sister in law worked (IRETHA). She was always happy and always had a good time where ever she was. She was a sweet heart and loved her family above all. Our thoughts are with her family. Robert and Barbara McCARLEY.
