Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Burl Wesley Yielding, II of North Little Rock Arkansas passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at the age of 72. He was born in Flint, Michigan on August 7, 1952.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Ethel Yielding of North Little Rock, Arkansas, his sister, Patsy Contos of Houston, Texas and his brother, Richard Yielding of Greenbrier, Arkansas.

He is survived by his sisters: Hattie Peterson and Judy Fungate of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Wanda Thomas of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Frances Yielding of Flint, Michigan, Susan Yielding of Mayflower, Arkansas, his brother Randy Yielding of Maumelle, Arkansas, longtime friend, Charlotte Bland and family, a plethora of nieces and nephews, including his favorite niece, Candice Yielding of Benton, Arkansas, countless friends and retired Cowboys.

Although he never had children of his own, that did not stop him from playing an important role in the childhood of many. Burl had a fierce loyalty to his family and friends that was felt by all who knew him. He had a boisterous voice with a personality to match. He grabbed life by the reins and was a pro bronco rider throughout the 70s. He was a member of the National Guard and a diehard Harley Davidson fan. When Burl loved you, you knew so without question. He never failed to remind his loved ones of their worth. He will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on. He left his mark on many and could never be forgotten.

Burl I am so glad you stopped by the shop to see me
I did not know that would be the last conversation I would have with you. You have always come to my rescue no matter if it was snakes , dogs trying to kill each other , my a/c need fixing or
When JJ got out and got killed on the highway. You were Jeff’s friend but it did not take long until you became my friend.
That might of happened when I was writing letters for you and Charlotte. I’m going to miss you my dear friend .
