Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Gavin Alan Scribner, age 25, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.  He was born on February 28, 1999 in Kenosha Wisconsin.

Gavin is survived by a huge family and support system that loved him dearly, his biological parents Jeremy James Fleming and Shannon Marie Kelley, his two biological brothers Justice Watson, Alex Huntsman, two biological sisters; Ambrosia Jablonskis and Maizy Rose, his biological paternal grandmother Maggie Herman, his foster parents Darrel and Pam Robinson and brothers; Eben Barnett, Matt Robinson (Brandy), Zachary Robinson and sister Stephanie Benedict (Jake), and grandmother Lou A Robinson. He is also survived by his cat Coochie, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Gavin was a passionate young man of many talents. To know Gavin, was to know his love for excitement and opportunity. Gavin never shied away from life lessons or hard work. He put 100% of himself into all of his endeavors.

Gavin worked several jobs in his life, Hurtz Donuts, Kohl’s, Golden Coral, Kroger, Little Rock National Airport, Hilton Hotel, and Walmart Neighborhood Market. Accompanying his hard work ethic was his ambition which led him to attend one year of college at University of Arkansas-Little Rock and Graduate Arthur’s Beauty College as a licensed cosmetologist. Styling hair was one of his many hobbies as well as being in nature, watching sunsets, roller skating, cooking, going out on the town with his friends, gardening his plants, and of course as we all know, singing and acting. He was a huge part in several theatrical productions such as, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, The Fall of the House of Usher, Little Shop of Horrors, James and the Giant Peach and Guys and Dolls.

Gavin’s short life was tumultuous, but his perseverance and infectious energy always shined through and touched those around him.  He was so hopeful of the future and possibilities awaiting him, and it is deeply saddening to know that his journey ended here. He has passed on to a place where there are no longer any battles to face, but he has left behind a rich legacy of loyalty and love that has deeply affected everyone who got the chance to know him. May he rest in peace.

A Celebration of Gavin’s life will be held in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 6PM.

I’ve known Gavin since middle school our birthdays feel in the same month. Even when I moved part way through high school. He still made an effort to keep in touch. He was such a kind, talented and gorgeous soul. His absence will be felt, and he will be greatly missed.

Happy! Always projected happy, even when there were trying times for him. He was a very talented young man who God graced with a beautiful voice! He will always be remembered! He, Shay and Ashleigh spent many an evening together at BPP. I will never forget the laughter, the singing, the acting, the happy times we all spent together there and the drives over and back home. God rest your soul, Gavin. Love you!

Beautiful boy, he could sing so beautifully, so much talent and his heart was so big. I learned so much from Gavin, we became very close and had so many long talks. He was an old soul. I loves him so much. He will be so missed. I know he is singing with angels now, no pain, smiling and we will see each other again someday. Until then sweet friend. Love you dearly.
