What fun we had bike ridding with Roberta following behind just in case we couldn’t follow through our biking. Spending Saturday ridding 20 miles all over town getting ready for the big day. She kept me on my toes, what a dear friend she was.

Joan was such a character. She did a lot of repair work for us in our home and talked non stop. We also attended the same church for many years. Rest in peace, Joan

I met Joan while filming a feature on the Casting For Recovery retreat. I followed her into the river and watched her fish and catch trout and saw the energy of the outdoors replenish what was drained by disease. She had a remarkable spirit that defied the circumstances that life dealt her. It was her true love of life and family and friends that gave her strength to live each day to the fullest. I loved that in Joan. I was inspired by it. What a privilege it was to know her.

My heart aches for Joan’s family. She shared her gifts freely and with joy. I will miss my CfR sister and remember her with fondness.

My Mimi was such a bright light in my life! We listened to cheeseburger in paradise by Jimmy Buffet my whole childhood and we would scream the words on the way home from school! She made me want to be scuba certified because she traveled the world scuba diving! We went on so many fishing trips for her birthday that I will never forget! I love you so much Mimi!

It was a gift from God to know someone like Joan. You don’t meet people often that tell it how it is and lives by the beat of their own drum with no second thought. She was definitely a force to be reckoned with. My heart and love goes out to all family.

So sorry to hear that Joan has passed. She and Roberta were my neighbors when I lived on Taft Street in Pine Bluff. They were more than neighbors but great friends 🙏🙏🙏

I know it has been a while but I was thinking about Joan today. When I worked at Carti, she would stop by my front desk office every time she came to the dr or for blood work She was a piece of work I loved talking to her. She was one of the patients that made a difference to me. We both were suffering from breast cancer. Fly high my friend, I will never forget you. Much love and peace.
