Kevin Wayne Smith, age 58, of Des Arc, AR passed away on September 6, 2024. Kevin was born on October 19, 1965 in Stuttgart, AR.

Survivors include his children and his grandchildren who cherished him; Daughter Mystiena (Andrew) Hackett with children Leeland, Sawyer, Rowan, Koraline, and Jasper. Son James Smith, and daughter Rebekah Null with child Draco. His wife Lora Smith, their son Corbin Smith and stepson Branden Perry.  Kevin is also survived by his sister Michelle Lynn, and her children Miguel and Taylor.

Kevin is preceded in death by his grandmother Beatrice Smith, and his mother Janice Smith (Stone) of Stuttgart. As within the same time of Kevin’s, so was the passing of his father, Clinton Smith of Stuttgart.

Kevin proudly served the United States Armed Forces as active-duty Air Force from August 1987 to July 1991 and October 2001 to March 2002. He also had additional Reserve and National Guard service from July 1991 to June 2003.

A passionate musician, Kevin was often found with a guitar in hand and a song in his heart. His love for music was a defining part of his life, and he lived by the spirit of the lyrics, “let there be songs to fill the air.”

Kevin will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and his unwavering love for music. He was a soft-hearted soul who lived with a great love of nature and connected with all living things.
