CMSgt Harold “Ray” Collum, 75, went on to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, this October 10th, 2024.
Ray was the kindest, most generous of men. He would give you the shirt off his back, without asking for any praise. If you needed anything, anything at all, he’d be the first to offer help. He was on fire for God and wanted to show people the love he cherished in his heart for his faith!! He was a fun lovin’ brother that always wanted to laugh and joke. He was the best daddy any one could’ve asked for!!! The gentlest of grandfathers. He loved visiting people, going to family reunions, fishing, hunting, but most importantly, spending time with family.
He’s preceded in death by his mother and father. His siblings; Darrell Collum (preceded in death), Delena Loyd, Deborah Henson, Ronnie Collum and Lee Collum. He was married to Dorothy Mae Collum (Norton) for 53 glorious and blessed years! They have two babies that has preceded Ray in death. Two living children; Harold Ray Collum II, and Shelly Marie Collum. Three beautiful granddaughters; Alissa Barnett, MaKayla Collum, Shyann Rice. Two adorable great granddaughters; Luna Barnett and Blakeleigh Rice. So many loving nieces and nephews, and cousins. Ray’s cousin, Jack Collum, affectionately known as “uncle Jack” was a pillar of strength in dad’s life!

I love you papaw, you’ll never be forgotten. You were an inspiration for so many, including myself. You’re the most humble, loving, and precious man I’ve ever met. You kept Jesus #1 above all else so there’s not a doubt in my mind that you’re at peace now. A place with no pain. Blakeleigh will grow up to know you were a loving grandpa. One that would do anything for anyone. We love you so much, it’s hard to believe you’re not here anymore. It feels like you’re just spending a couple weeks at deer camp again, I guess it hasn’t really set in yet. I don’t know how I’m going to be able to move forward without you, you were a man who knew how to fix everything and if you didn’t, you knew someone that did. You were truly the best grandpa in the world. & I’ll forever miss and love you. I’ll see you again someday. 🪽🥺🫶🏼

Brother Ray was a man who allowed Gods love and power flow through him touching the lives of many he came in contact with. He carried the burdens of others proudly knowing he could make a difference. He will be missed dearly as we await his return with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Ray was a great man of God, he extended help to us many times. His generosity was second to none. He was more than a friend but to us he was family.
Are best friend. Someone if he said he was going to do something you could count on it getting done.
Ray was an inspiration. Worked with Ray when we were both in uniform and again when he returned to duty as a civilian. Ray dedicated his whole life to and God & Country. People like Ray are rare these days. RIP Ray & prayers to those you left behind
