
Robert “Bob” L. Mayhan Jr., of El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away on September 30, 2024. He was born to Robert L. Mayhan and Bessie Gordon Mayhan in Scott, Arkansas on February 6, 1932. He was 92 years of age.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Adah Mayhan; two sons Steven Edward Mayhan and William Ray Mayhan; sister Jean McGhee of Sheridan; two brothers James B. Mayhan and Dale Mayhan.
Robert leaves behind one daughter Cindy Greer; grandsons Allen Pearson of Elm Grove, Louisiana and Eric Pearson (Shannon) of Smackover; great-grandchildren Katherine Pearson, Zackley Pearson, Nathan Pearson, and Whit Pearson; sisters-in-law Ruthann Mayhan of Mabelvale, Nell Mayhan of Birmingham, Betty Taylor (Bob) of Memphis, Ann Poteet of Little Rock, and Jimmie Carter (Dale) of Little Rock; and many nieces and nephews.
Robert met Adah Marie Foreman and married in 1954. Adah preceded him on March 16, 2023. Robert was a Combat Veteran of the United States Marine Corp that served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Director of Properties Chair for 15 years. He was also a member of the El Dorado Lion Club, Children and Youth Ministries of IBC OCC, and was a Life Touch Hospice volunteer. He also coached Women’s Softball.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 12:00pm with funeral service starting at 1:00pm at Immanuel Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas. Interment to follow at Smyrna Cemetery in El Dorado, Arkansas.
