Betty R. Walker, age 90

Betty R. Walker, age 90, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away on November 13th, 2024. She was born on June 16th, 1934 in Ozark, Arkansas to parents Johnny S. Barham and Bessie F. (Cullins) Barham.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband Alvin E. Walker: Brother Johnny Samuel Barham; 2 step sons Terry A. Walker and Alvin E. Walker JR.

She is survived by her son Brian E. Walker and his wife Amber; 2 step daughters Becky (Walker) Gattis and Judy (Walker) Bell; 2 step sons Gary Walker and Mike Walker and one brother Jessie W. Barham.  She has 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Along with a host of extended family and friends.

Betty moved from Ozark, Arkansas to Little Rock, Arkansas in the late 1950’s. She worked for the State of Arkansas DHS. She retired in 1996 after working 40+ yrs. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Following cremation the family will have a Graveside service at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Date to be determined.

    Betty was a one of a kind person and aunt. Heaven truly gained an angel. Even tho she lived a long life I will very much miss her.

    Betty was the sweetest lady I had ever meet, my late husband’s Terry Walker loved her dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with Brian and Amber families and friends. She will be greatly missed.

    Truly a kind and gentle person – unless you messed with a loved one. You then encountered a Mother lioness. She walked the earth with gentle footsteps and I’m sure she is strolling across heaven.
