Melissa Kay Ballew, age 68, of Kent, Washington, passed away on October 31, 2024 in Burien, Washington. She was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas on January 9, 1956 to parents Harvey Hollis and Elizabeth Edwards.
Melissa is preceded in death by her father Harvey Hollis Edwards.
She is survived by her mother Elizabeth Edwards of Cabot, AR; two brothers Hollis Edwards of Clinton, AR and Calvin Edwards of North Little Rock, AR; two sisters Vivian Tabor of Lonoke, AR and Bonnie Sturch of Lonoke, AR; daughter Ambra Denise Ballew of Honea Path, SC; son John Thomas “JT” Ballew of Morrilton, AR; two grandsons Harvey “Blake” Heath of South Carolina and Jarred Ballew of Arkansas; one granddaughter Rebecca Ballew of Arkansas; along with a host of extended family and many friends.
Melissa was very artistic and enjoyed drawing, painting, and crafting. She loved animals, and she especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 5:00-6:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Graveside service will follow on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 10:00am at Arkansas Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
