Nina “Margaret” Bredlow, 81, of North Little Rock, passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2024. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a cherished friend to many, leaving a legacy of love and laughter that will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Margaret was born on March 2, 1943, to Mark and Hettie Moore Maxwell of Pottsville, AR.
Margaret was a graduate of Little Rock’s Central High School. She taught at Meadow Park Elementary in North Little Rock before becoming a homemaker. She had been an active member of Levy Church of Christ, and was recognized for serving 25 years on the Mission Committee. Her passions included reading, collecting books, especially Bible related books, painting, working puzzles and cross-stitching. Margaret never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with those she loved.
She is preceded in death by her father Mark Maxwell, stepfather, George Jewett and mother Hettie Maxwell Jewett, adopted brother Timothy Jewett and husband Colonel Ronald (Ronny) Bredlow. She is also preceded in death by her best friend Suzanne Dillard.
Survivors include: sons, Michael (Wendy) Humphries of Heber Springs, AR; Robert Bredlow of Little Rock, AR; daughter, Rebecca Brown Hawley (Brad) of North Little Rock, AR; grandchildren: Hanes (Mistee) Humphries of Odessa, TX; Harrison (Helen) Humphries of Houston, TX; Harding (Rachel) Humphries of Raleigh, NC; Craig Bredlow of North Little Rock, AR ; Elizabeth Bredlow Dowell (Marcus) of Springdale, AR; Collins Brown of North Little Rock, AR; Bryson Brown of College Station, TX; and Fisher Hawley of Birmingham, AL. Great grandchildren include: Lucy and Rowland Humphries of Odessa, TX; Haven Lane Humphries of Raleigh, NC; and Hadley, Hudson and Hayden Dowell of Springdale, AR.
The family would like to thank all who prayed and provided support for Margaret over the last few years, especially Hospice Home Care.
The family would like to extend an invitation to celebrate the life of Margaret Bredlow on Friday, November 22nd from 6-8 pm at the Family Life Center at Levy Church of Christ in North Little Rock, Leon Barnes will memorialize her at 7:00 pm. Her interment will be at Rest Hills Cemetery in Sherwood, AR beside her late husband Colonel (Ronny) Ronald Bredlow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the missions fund at Levy Church of Christ; 5124 Camp Robinson Road NLR, AR 72118.

It was such an honor caring for you all. I loved Ms Margaret soooo much. She always put a smile on my face. Rebecca, you are like a sister to me. And Brad, you ALWAYS kept me laughing. I love you all. I’m so glad maw maw is in a better place.
I’m so very grateful God allowed me to know Ms. Margaret. She was a loving sweet lady. She always had a smile on her face. Rebecca and Brad were like family. They always welcomed me in their home to visit. I will truly miss her and the family. May God continue to walk with you, and strengthen you. Love you all.
