Jane Dove Brush, age 88

Jane Dove Brush, 88 of Gibson, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Willow Grove Assisted Living in Maumelle, Arkansas. She was born in Warrensburg, Missouri on January 29, 1936, to Herbert and Louise Dove and spent most of her life in Gibson, then moved to Heber Springs for over twenty years.

Before becoming a Special Education Teacher for Pulaski County Special School District for twenty-two years, Jane was a mechanic and worked alongside her late husband, Charles Brush, Jr. (Charlie). She built a two-story pole barn, played softball, and enjoyed being a 4-H teacher. In addition, Jane loved animals, but especially horses. She grew up on a farm in Gibson and enjoyed riding. Jane later moved to Heber Springs and enjoyed her view of Eden Isle and Cove Creek while retired.

Jane is survived by her two children Skippy Brush of North Little Rock and Ronnie Brush of Cato. Other survivors include her twenty-five grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jane is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, late husband Charlie, life partner Jim, and daughter-in-law Becky Anthony Brush.

Donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Arkansas in Little Rock, Arkansas.

A visitation will be held at 9:30am on Saturday, December 21 at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, followed by a graveside service at 11:00am at Gibson Memorial Cemetery in Gravel Ridge.
