Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

William (Billy) Warner, age 61

William (Billy) Warner, 61, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2024. His passing has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Born on August 19, 1963, in Cherry Point, North Carolina, Billy grew up with a deep love for music, a passion that remained central to his life. Through his love of music, he could share with you the history of so many musicians and music was a constant source of joy for him. His enthusiasm for life and his ability to connect with others made him beloved by family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Billy is survived by his wife, Susan, his children, Holly Warner (Jarrod), Amanda Winters (Kodee), and Jeffery Thaxton (Ryan); and his cherished grandchildren, London, Ashton, Holden, and Trey, who lovingly called him Poppy. He is also survived by a host of extended family and dear friends who will remember him fondly.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Warner and Linda Jarboe, his brother and sister, Mike and Lisa Kamerzink. He is also preceded in death by Nancy Armstrong, the mother of his daughters.  Billy’s love for his family was evident in all aspects of his life.  He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Billy’s legacy of love, music, and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of sharing in his life. He will never be forgotten, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Cousin Billy, you were truly “one of the good ones”. I’m sure God has a very important place for you by his side, not to mention the joy of reuniting with those who’ve gone before you. I know you got to celebrate the greatest Birthday Party of all time! You’re light may have gone from this world but you shine even brighter in Heaven. I will always love you and miss you terribly until we meet again. (Give Jeff and my Daddy a big hug from me! I know they’re happy to see you too!) I just can’t say enough…I’m praying for your family, that they might find the love and comfort of Jesus in this difficult time.

I worked with Billy for many years in Memphis. He was an excellent project manager and very customer focused. He was respected by fellow employees and our clients for his industry knowledge and attention to details which always delivered a successful project outcome. Whenever Billy spoke about his children or grandchildren, one knew he was proud of his family. I know he will be missed by many.

I thought the world of Billy. We used to pick at each other about politics alot. We we’re on different sides of the isle. But we respected each other opinions. I hadn’t seen him last couple years at Northaven reunion since I quit putting it together. RIP my brother. I loved music as he. I’m sure music will be playing at his funeral. If I may suggest 1 song by the Scorpions. It’s this song here. SEND ME AN ANGEL!!!! Beautiful song. You will be missed brother. GOD BE WITH U & FAMILY.
