Vickie Lynn (Gipson) Sloan, 64, was born December 29, 1960, to Robert and Esther (Harr) Gipson, in Fowler California transitioned into her eternal life on January 23, 2025.
Vickie is survived by her mom, Nancy Gipson, her children Joseph Lutker III and his wife Carla of Beebe, Arkansas, Vickie Oetken and husband Jeff of South Roxana, Illinois, and Wendy Williams and husband Perry of Belleville, Illinois, her sisters Becky Glenn, Bernice Thompson, and Pam Clark, her brothers Randy Weaver and Bob Gipson, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, her valued church family, and countless friends and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Esther (Harr) Gipson and brother Kenny Weaver.
Vickie was a family-oriented mothering hen who always made it a point to care for everyone as her own, while always putting others before herself. Later in life, Vickie completed her lifelong dream of earning her RN degree to continue on the path of always helping others as a case manager with BCBS.
God grant comfort and strength to those who mourn her passing. ‘Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time will come’, Mark 13:33.
Remembrance of Life lunch will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Victory Lodge at 111 3rd Street, Barling, Arkansas. Instead of flowers please make donations in Vickie’s honor to First Christian Church of Beebe at 205 West George St, Beebe, Arkansas 72012.

Vickie was a wonderful woman and nurse. I feel blessed to have known her these last 8 years. No doubt she’s in the presence of our Lord. Prayers for all her loved ones to have comfort and the peace that surpasses all understanding.
It was a pleasure to work with Vickie for the short time I got to know her at BCBS. Her presence will be missed. Many condolences and prayers to her family and friends.
I worked with Vickie at DaVita for several years and then are paths crossed again at BCBS. She as always one I could talk to and depend on. She was always there for her patients and her coworkers. She will be dearly missed.

Vickie truly was the example of a caregiver as she served everyone around her. She not only cared for her family but for her work family. She was a wonderful nurse! I worked with Vickie the last 5 years and she will truly be missed. She made every person she came in contact with feel special. Many prayers for her family and all of her friends who will miss her so much!
