Billy Gene Riggs, age 65

Billy Gene Riggs, age 65, of El Paso, Arkansas passed away on February 9, 2025. He was born in Texarkana, Texas on November 5, 1959 to Clearence Riggs and Elsie Marie (Akins) Riggs.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, brother William Eugene Riggs, and sister Lois Evelyn Williams.

He is survived by his wife Leisa Riggs; two sons Matthew Brandon Riggs and Jacob Dillon Riggs; sister Bernice Hartman; nieces Melissa Hartman, Jennifer Hartman, and Jessica Hartman; great-nieces and nephews Addison, Jaicee, Garrett, Kolton, Kutter, Tanner, and Jake; great-great-niece Oaklynn.

Billy was an avid sports fan, especially baseball and football. He was the ultimate Dallas Cowboy’s fan. He was very involved with his sons’ sports teams and enjoyed coaching them. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 25 years as a Brakeman and then an Engineer.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 1:00pm with service starting at 2:00pm at Union Valley Baptist Church; 932 Hwy 64 W, Beebe, AR 72012. Burial will follow at Grissard Cemetery in El Paso, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be sent to Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, Arkansas.
