Deborah Renee Barnett, born August 9, 1956, in Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at the age of 68. Deborah was a loving mother, sister, and devoted Christian whose faith and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
She was the daughter of Hazel Crotts and Aychel Barnett, both of whom preceded her in death, along with her younger brother, Tony Barnett, and her sister, Linda Konrad. Deborah is survived by her son, Cruz, and her brothers, Mike and Larry Barnett. She was also a cherished aunt, cousin, and friend.
Deborah’s deep Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she was never shy about sharing the love and grace she found in her relationship with God. Her passion for writing and painting were outlets for her creativity, and her love of butterflies reflected the beauty and freedom she found in life.
She found joy in the small things—whether it was a quiet moment with family or creating something new with her hands. Deborah was a woman who loved deeply, gave generously, and always sought to lift others up with a kind word or a listening ear.
She will be remembered for her warmth, her unwavering faith, and the way she made everyone around her feel special. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her life.
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 14th at College Church of Christ room 100 at 1PM. All are welcome to join us in celebrating Deborah’s life and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
