Laurie Cross Staver, age 67

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Laurie Cross Staver, who left us to join the angels on February 9, 2025. Mom was born February 14, 1957 in Jacksonville, AR to C.E. and Marie Cross. She was a devoted wife to Phillip Staver Sr. and mother to her children: Stephanie Childers (Randy), Brian Burford (Crystal), Kelli Mahoney(Marcus) Joseph Young, Whitnee Young and Jacob Young and also to her bonus children: Jennifer Staver, Jessica Martin, Justine Barton, Phillip Staver Jr and Jacinda Petermeier; making her family a beautiful blend of love and togetherness. Her legacy continues through her 23 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her devoted brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Pat Cross, along with numerous other family and friends that loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Whitnee and 3 brothers Butch, Harold and James Cross.

Mom had an extraordinary love for her dogs, who were her faithful companions until the end. She was a people person, known for her vibrant personality and her love for engaging in conversations with everyone she met. Her warmth and friendliness were unmatched, and she touched the lives of many with her genuine kindness.

Despite the challenges posed by health issues in her later years, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace on the other side. We love her deeply and will miss her more than words can express. We hope she looks down on us with pride, as we strive to honor her memory by living life with the same fun, outgoing, and loving spirit that she embodied.

Rest in peace, Laurie Cross Staver (Mom). You will forever be in our hearts.

The family will be holding a private burial at a later date.
