Lonny Preston Cook, age 75

Lonny Preston Cook, age 75, of Brookland, Arkansas passed away on January 20, 2025. He was born in Rivervale, Arkansas on January 17, 1950 to Noah Estelle and Lottie Marie Smith Cook.

Lonny is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Estelle Cook, Dallas Cook, Ernest Cook; and sisters Edna Lee Cook and Phyllis Cook.

He is survived by his daughter Tonya Davis of Paragould, AR; stepsons Darrell (Sharon) Crow of Lafe, AR and James (Tracy) Crow of Marmaduke, AR; brother Ray (Sandra) Cook of Tulot; 13 grandkids, 42 great-grandkids, and many nieces and nephews.

Lonny was loved by many people. He was very quiet and easy going. He drove a tank in the Vietnam War and was a proud veteran. During his time in the Army, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, the Purple Heart, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. He was also a certified heavy equipment mechanic. Lonny enjoyed antique cars and car shows, tractors, riding his motorcycle, and gardening. He was always out in the yard working on something.

Family-hosted memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 11:00am-1:00pm at The Potters House Church, 403 N Bernis Street, Brookland, Arkansas.
