Martha Rhodes Dalton, 83, peacefully passed away on February 11, 2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Jonathan Grant Cooper and Mary Rhodes Cooper (Atkinson). Her family relocated to North Little Rock, Arkansas, and she spent her life in North Little Rock and Gravel Ridge.
She was a 1959 graduate of North Little Rock (Ole Main) High School, followed be long careers in real estate and property management until she retired in 2014.
She is survived by a large and loving family: brother Richard Shelby Cooper (Janene); nieces Sara Cooper, Katherine (Katie) Cooper-Bussell (Nick), Emily Jeanne Cooper-Hertel (Teddy); great-nieces and nephews Finn, Evie, Cooper, and Rio; and her son Herman W. Grady, III.
She is preceded in death by grandparents Annie Rhodes Atkinson and Dr. Shelby Atkinson of North Little Rock; siblings Rebecca Sunderman (Sandy) and Thomas A. Cooper.
Martha’s true passion in life, as with all immediate family, was a love of the gifts of the good earth, the great outdoors and gardening. She will continue in that manner in her next life.
