My husband and I enjoyed getting to know Melvalea through my son-n-law Brent. My mother-n-law would pick her up and bring her to their great grandchildren’s birthday parties. She really enjoyed it and we enjoyed her sharing that with all of us. She will be missed but will always be with us at those birthday celebrations. This is not goodbye, it’s until we meet again. God Bless, Scot and Teri Glover

I’ve always appreciated and felt close to my Grandmother ‘Menaw’, but since my Grandfather died in Dec. 2015, I did everything I could to become closer to her, help her with anything I could, and help her navigate troubling times. I hope I made a small difference, at least.
I’m definitely grateful for our conversations in the past year, as she worked through a few health issues.
Of all the great Sportswomen in this country, I doubt there are very few who could compete with her, and she enjoyed it so much. That’s how it is when you have a great partner that lives those opportunities with you as she did.
