Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Nikki Jeanne Beers, age 58

Nikki Jeanne Beers passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on February 26, 1966, she was the beloved daughter of George “Bob” Beers and Helen (Peters) Beers. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lannie Beers; and her sister, Kathy Beers Thomasson.

Nikki had a kind and gentle spirit, which was reflected in her love for animals—both the cats and dogs who shared her home over the years, and the birds that visited the tree outside her window. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and will be remembered for her warmth, quiet strength, and deep love for those close to her.

She is survived by her brother, Randy Beers (Lou); nephews Timothy Beers and Kevin Beers; niece Melanie Thomasson (Josh); great-nephew Tristan Goodell; great-niece Eleanor Goodell; dear friend Karen Dunning; and many cousins and other friends, who will forever cherish her memory.

Per her wishes, a memorial service will be held later. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Jacksonville Animal Shelter or the American Cancer Society.

I loved her dearly and miss her already! We met over 12 years ago at my workplace and have been room mates over 10. We have a dog, Winnie and a cat, Tigger. She truly was a gentle, loving soul and I am proud to call her Friend!
