William Everett Pike (Bud), age 86

William Everett Pike (Bud), 86, of DeWitt passed peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on February 21st, 2025. Bud was a devoted and hardworking man, best known for his many years of self-employment at William E. Pike Plumbing, where his skill, dedication, and integrity earned him the respect and admiration of his community. He built a life through hard work, offering both expertise and kindness to those who worked with him and those he served. Bud was a devoted member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of DeWitt.

Bud was born on August 7th, 1938 in the North Forks LaGrue community to Everett Pike and Hazel Pike. He was a man of great character and cherished his family above all else. He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Renne Snyder Pike (Tony) of DeWitt, two grandchildren: Chris Murphy (Jess) of DeWitt and Carly Ruff (Ryan) of North Little Rock, and 7 great grandchildren: Jaden Murphy, Elliott Murphy, Lillith Murphy, Blakely Murphy, and Sutton Ruff.

He is preceded in death by his wife Alfie Grissom Pike, two children Everett Pike and Paula Pike, his mother and father (listed above), three sisters Ameila Eddelmon (Nelson), Betty Dike (Russell), and Patricia Nelson (Wayne) and one brother Donald Pike (Marcia).

Bud was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend who was Known for his storytelling, sense of humor, and boundless generosity, he had an unwavering passion for hunting, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. His legacy will live on in the lessons he imparted, the memories he created, and the hearts he touched.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. with the funeral service to follow at The Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 321 West 6th Street, DeWitt, Arkansas 72042. The burial will be held at Forks LaGrue cemetery in DeWitt.

    Bud was a great man, caring father and husband, and very knowledgeable tradesman. We will forever be grateful for all that he has done for our family, and all the hours of wonderful stories he would tell. He will truly be missed. Prayers for the family’s confort.
