With deep love, we honor the life of Georgina Leon, who passed away in Arkansas at the age of 92.
Born in Santiago, Cuba, to Miguel and Dolores Peña, early on she demonstrated a passionate love for life and people. She developed an unshakable strength and a resourceful spirit, traits that defined her throughout her life.
She worked as a stenographer and seamstress. Always dedicated to perfecting her skills, she could turn the simplest ingredients into nourishing meals.
She embraced the Seventh-day Adventist faith and became a pioneer in the planting of the Ft. Lauderdale Spanish SDA Church, in Florida leaving behind a legacy of devotion for those who choose to follow.
She is sister to Lydia, her late sister Julia, Aurora, Elvira and her late brother (and best friend) Miguel.
Above all, she was a dedicated mother to Frank, Maria, Jason, and Leilan, a cherished grandmother to 15, and a joyful great-grandmother to 6. Her resilience, strength, and love will live on in the generations she nurtured.
Her life was a testament to perseverance and strong will. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy remains in every lesson, every prayer, and every cherished memory.
