Jeanette Cordell Hare, 74, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away on March 27, 2025. She was born in Newport, Arkansas, where she grew up surrounded by her parents, Paul and Mildred Cordell, and her brothers and sisters. A trailblazer in her family, Jeanette was the first to graduate high school, paving the way for a life filled with determination and dedication.
After graduation, she embarked on a career in sales before embracing her most cherished role—a devoted homemaker. Her life revolved around taking care of her family, whom she loved fiercely and selflessly. Jeanette was passionate about needlepoint, found joy in dancing and singing, and held an unwavering faith in God that guided her throughout her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mildred Cordell; her sister, Paulette Jones; her grandson, Austin Samples; and her granddaughter’s husband, Ryan Miller.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Michael Hare; daughters, Michelle Atchison, Alison VanRoekel (Richard), and Courtney Newell (Brandon); grandchildren, Tiffanee Miller, Blake Samples (Bri), Chayse VanRoekel, Jude Newell, and Nate Newell; and great-grandchildren, Hays Miller, Adalee Samples, Abagail Samples, Harper Samples, and Ryder Samples. She is also survived by her siblings, Charlotte Murphy (Dan), Allen Cordell (Pat), Stevie Cordell (Nancy), and Carl Don Cordell, along with many other beloved family members, including Ashley Samples and Matt Stroud.
Jeanette was the heart of her family, always ready to cook a meal, offer a listening ear, and provide steady support. She was known for her boundless love, kind soul, and incredible strength. She worked hard in all she did and was the biggest cheerleader for those she loved. She impacted countless lives with her generosity, faith, and selflessness, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.
In honor of Jeanette’s giving spirit, donations can be made in her name to Lonoke County Safe Haven.
A Family-Hosted Graveside Urn Burial will take place on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 2:30PM at at Sand Hill Cemetery in Newport, Arkansas.
