Michael W. Nelson, 67, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away March 11, 2025 at his home.
Mike is survived by his wife of 30 years Veda Nelson. He is also survived by his sons Chris Nelson (Kade) of Searcy, AR and William Russell (Nikki) of League City, TX; three grandchildren Kole, Konner, and Kaitlyn Russell of League City, TX; two brothers David Nelson (Mary) of New Bern, NC and Mark Nelson (Kandi) of Gainesville, FL. He is also survived by several nephews, a niece, and many family members and friends who will miss him tremendously.
He was preceded in death by his parents Montford and Helen Nelson.
Mike proudly served his country in the US Army Reserves and always had a soft spot for our military. He also loved hunting, fishing, camping, and loved to BBQ. Mike worked many years as a maintenance mechanic and electrician for Coca Cola, Maybelline, and Remington Arms where he most recently retired.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 9:30am with funeral service starting at 10:30am in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Burial will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Mike we are going to miss you I know you had some hard times and I just want to say thank you for all good times we had together you taking us out to eat and being a good friend also thank you for helping me move into my first home you really made a impact more than you know it may we meet again
