One of the sweetest ladies Keith and I met when we first joined Briarwood Baptist Church 3 years ago. Oleta was a great witness for Christ in every thing she did and to everyone she came in contact with. Now sweet friend after all these years you are finally home.

A true inspiration to us all. One of the sweetest, kindest ladies I’ve ever known. She’s in Heaven now with Bro. Ron. RIP sweet lady

Oleta was the epitome of what I call a “church lady.” I came to know her quickly. I had an aunt named Oleta and so we began our conversation with that. We connected immediately. She loved God and people. She prayed. She had great faith. I loved her right from the start. We enjoyed studying God’s Word together. She was a Proverbs 31 lady to me. Proverbs 31:10-31 tells us about a virtuous woman. Oleta Raines was more precious than jewels and was a source of strength and dignity. She was compassionate and generous. She was a “true blue” friend to me.

Mark, Reta and Lori, I am so sorry for your loss. Oleta was one of the sweetest and most elegant ladies that I ever knew. I wanted to attend the services today but with all the commotion about the weather last night, I forgot to set the alarm clock. May God bless all of you, your children and grandchildren in a special way and comfort all of you in the way that only he can comfort.
