Tim Hord, 56, went home to his Lord and Savior unexpectedly on March 27, 2025.
Tim was a simple man and oftentimes hard to get along with. However, if he ever let you in to become a friend, you were a forever friend with his undying loyalty.
He loved to talk about the years he worked as a heavy machine operator. His skill with the equipment had been described as graceful as a ballet. While traveling he would point out the many projects he worked on in the Little Rock and Conway areas.
He was stubbornly independent. Though plagued with mobility issues, he still managed every chance he got to attend Sunday school and church events at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot, AR.
Some of his happiest times were watching his team win the latest football game or Nascar race and spoiling his great nieces and nephews with popsicles.
His love of dogs and their love for him was vast. A scratch behind the ear and a bone was always ready to be had.
He is preceded in death by his (mother) Nancy Armstrong Eades, (father) George “Buddy” Hord. He is survived by his (sisters) Amy Young (Bobby Young Jr), Enid Eades, and Joyce Eades, (honorary sister) Samantha Ward, (nephews) Michael Honea and Nicholas Honea, (great nephews) Vincent, Wade, Dawson and J.D. and (great nieces) Emily, Evelyn, and Luna as well as his North Carolina family Susie Hager, Kim Elmore (Alan) and Tyler Straughan.
Family-Hosted celebration of Tim’s life will be held on April 6th at 6:30pm at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot, AR.

So sorry for your loss. Prayers for you family
Tim was a great friend
Love you all. I know this is a great loss for Amy and Enid. He is in the loving arms of the Father now. New body and no pain. You both are in my thoughts and prayers.
Although I personally didn’t know Tim, apart of me felt I did. I have known Enid 15yrs and the love she had for her brother and her beloved family including her late mother always showed. I often would hear stories and listen to her talking and it was like I was there in the moment. I pray for her and her family during this difficult time. May God help you find peace and comfort. Love you Enid!
Every week he came to church, I greeted him and told him that he was my hero! It was obvious that Tim was in pain and it took great effort for him to be there but he did it! I’m proud to have known him and witness his determination to join his Sunday School classmates to learn more about Jesus. He continues to be an inspiration to me!! Looking forward to the day Tim and others who have gone before will greet me at Heaven’s gate!
