William James “Bill” Surgeoner, Jr., age 70

William James “Bill” Surgeoner, Jr., age 70, of Maumelle, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, surrounded by love and family. He was born September 21, 1954, in Yonkers, New York.
A proud veteran, Bill honorably served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. After retiring from the military, he continued to work, providing IT support for Metropolitan Bank and later working for the Pulaski County Arkansas Court System.
On August 23, 2002, he married the love of his life, Mary Tucker. Together, they built a beautiful life and family. In each other, they found home, and together, they filled it with love.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine and Donald Peters, as well as his brother, John Surgeoner, and brother-in-law, Mike Newman.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 23 years, Mary Tucker Surgeoner; sons, Brian Surgeoner and Tyler Tucker; daughter, Shannon Surgeoner; daughter-in-heart, Fawn Surgeoner; and his beloved grandsons, Connor, Blake, and Cody Surgeoner. He also leaves behind his sisters, Lori Prendergast, Lynn Newman, and Theresa Jackson; brothers, Scott Surgeoner, Robert Surgeoner (Gwen), and Michael Surgeoner (Shanna); step-brothers, Luke Peters (Judy), Eddie Peters (Teresa), and Donald Peters, Jr. (VickyLynn); step-sisters, Kelly Baker (Mike), Liz Smith (Jerry), and Barbara Miller (Billy); along with a wide circle of cherished family and friends.

    I moss him. This obituary brought the pain and tears to my soul. He was loved deeply by all his family

    I’ll miss you till I see you again daddy. I know you are in a better place with no pain and filled with loved ones. I will think of you daily and hope that you will watch over me. Just know that I love you and always have and will.
