Anna Marie “Ree” Sims, 69, of Jacksonville, AR, formerly of New Philadelphia, OH, passed from this earthly life into Heaven March 31, 2025.
Anna Marie was born September 5, 1955 in Dover, OH to Zora Catherine (McKinney) and Chester A. Sims.
As a client of Pathfinders workshop in Jacksonville, AR, Anna Marie learned daily life skills which furthered her personal growth and gave her a fulfilling life. She also attended Starlight Inc for the handicapped in her earlier life in Ohio, where she lived with her family.
Left to cherish the family memories of Anna Marie are two sisters: Marlene A (Joe) Setvin of Jacksonville, AR and Katie L (Gerald) Stout of New Philadelphia, OH and three brothers: John E (Dee) Sims of Jacksonville, AR, Ken R (Mary) Carroll of New Philadelphia, OH, and James A. (Diana) Sims of Canal Fulton, OH, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank the Pathfinder Organization, and specifically the in-house homecare employees for their exceptional care and service as they continued the 24/7 tasks of caring for Anna in her final hours.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 2:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Internment service to follow in Zoar, OH at a later date with her family.
