Barbara Jo Furr, age 75, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away April 12, 2025. She was born in Osceola, Arkansas on April 6, 1950 to Richard Edward Ward and Ada Marie Aycock.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Fairlen Ward.
She is survived by her husband Robert Furr; four children Yvette Betterton, Carla Spier, Richard Betterton (Jessica), and Gretchen Thorn (Heath); seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters Brenda Griffin (Wesley) and Lisa Gann (Keith); a brother Ricky Ward; and a host of nieces and nephews and her beloved fur baby “Prince”.
Barbara was a beautiful woman with a loving soul. She loved spending time with her family. She loved cooking, shopping, traveling, arts and crafts. Barbara worked in the nursing home industry for many years. She often thought of her fellow coworkers as her family. To know her was to love her with her charming personality.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 9:30am with funeral service starting at 10:30am in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120.

She was my second mom because her daughter was my best friend. I spent many hours at their house and she treated me as her daughter and called me her daughter. I saw her a few years ago and she looked as beautiful as ever. I am so glad I got to spend that time with her and I got o tell her how much I loved her in person. My heart is broken for the family, but I pray that they will continue to hold onto the beautiful memories that they have of their mother and wife. Love and prayers to the entire family.
