Betty Elder, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away Monday, March 31st, 2025. She was born on July 28th, 1951, in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Samual O’Neil and Linnie Williams. Betty attended school in Bismark and lived in the Hot Springs area most of her life. She was a homemaker for many years and worked in hospitality and sales in her past. Betty loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting and spending time with friends and family.
Betty was preceded in death by both parents; her husband of 40 years, Eston Jr. Elder; her daughter DeAnne Uvette Jones; step-granddaughter, Koreena Ramos; and brother, George Lee Williams.
She is survived by her son, Bill W. Jones (Shelly) of Branson, MO; Stepdaughter, Bonnita Ramos of Hot Springs, AR; Granddaughter, Lauren Jones Trotter of Mountain Home, AR; Grandson, Ethan Jones of Branson, MO; Step grandchildren, Tenneil Webb of Forsyth, MO, Augustine Elder Lopez of Wisconsin and Marley Ramos of Indiana; Sister, Linda Ingram of Mt. Ida, AR; and Brother, Johnny Williams of Bismark, AR; Stepsister, Corena Warman of Magnet Cove, AR; several loved nieces and nephews. Also, many precious friends, too numerous to list.
A Family-Hosted Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, May 10th beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Community Outreach Ministries Church, 203 Ballpark Road, Mount Ida, AR 71957. Following the service, a meal will be provided for all who are present.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arkansas PBS or the Mount Ida Senior Center.
