Gregory Hudgins Furqueron, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on April 15, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 67. Born on June 13, 1957, in Flint, Michigan, Greg lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family.
He was the son of William and Katherine Furqueron, both of whom preceded him in death, along with his cherished sister Cheryl, his brother Willy, and his nephew Billy. Greg is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years, Debbie Furqueron, whom he married on July 8, 1978. Together, they built a wonderful life and raised a family that includes their son Clifton (Danya) and daughter April Brown (Brian). As a grandfather, Greg took pride in his grandchildren: Mason, Marshall, Taylor, and Keely (Jesse).
A graduate of Mills High School, Greg dedicated 40 years of his life to his career as a driver for UPS, where his quiet yet funny demeanor made him a favorite among colleagues and customers alike. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to serving others, traits that defined his career and personal life.
Outside of work, Greg had a passion for hobbies that brought him peace and happiness. He was an avid coin collector, enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved spending time outdoors, and recently found joy in rock tumbling. His quiet nature often belied a sharp wit, and he was known for his ability to make those around him smile.
Greg leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by his family and friends. He is also survived by his brothers Jeff and Marshall, and sister Cindy Plott, who will remember him fondly as a man who valued family above all else.
A memorial service to celebrate Greg’s life will be held on Sunday May 18th at IAFF Local 34 located at 210 South Gaines Street in Little Rock, Arkansas from 2pm-5pm. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor his memory and share stories of the man who touched so many lives. We’ll share food, drinks, and good company — just as he would have loved.
Gregory Hudgins Furqueron will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His love and laughter will forever echo in the lives he has touched.
