Gary Wayne Moody, age 71

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gary Wayne Moody of Benton, Arkansas. Gary was born in 1953 in Humnoke, Arkansas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the age of 71. He was a devoted Christian, loved his family, being outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking for others.

Gary’s life work included being a service manager at Smith Ford in Conway, Ron Campbell Ford in Cabot, and Fullerton Ford in Stuttgart. He was the type of person that loved being outdoors and never met a stranger.  He loved helping people whenever he could.

Others that preceded him were Harem Moody (father); Susie Moody (mother); Robert ‘Sonny’ Moody (brother) Annie Ruth Morris (sister); Mildred ‘Milly’ Davis (sister); Larry Davis (nephew); Danny Morris (nephew); Tracey ‘Tray’ Moody (nephew); Ricky Moody (nephew); Jimmy Austin Moody (great nephew) and Victoria ‘Tori’ Moody (great niece).

He is Survived by his Son, Brandon Wayne Moody (Tiffany) of Ward, Grandchild, Carter Wayne Moody, of Ward,

He was the youngest of 13 children: Beatrice Tully of Bryant, Maudie Powell of Humnoke, Norma Crawford of Humnoke, Brenda Paul (David) of Stuttgart, Bud Moody (Gloria) of Conway, Jim Moody (Laura) of Sheridan, Jerry Moody (Shirlene) of Scott, Lonnie Moody (Diane) of Lonoke, and Harold Moody (Debbie) of Vilonia. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who also survive him.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 28th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

    My deepest sympathy to the family going thru this rough patch. What I knew of Gary he was a very good man. I remember when he had Jimmy Carls old gas & pool hall. Had some fun times up there. Rest in peace my friend
