Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Huston Moore Reagan, Jr., age 83

Huston Moore Reagan, Jr. of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away May 17, 2025 at the age of 83.  He was preceded in death by his son Dan Moore Reagan and his oldest grandson Joshua Priest.  He leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Etta Reagan, daughter, Dianna Priest (Jon) of Jacksonville, grandchildren Huston Moore Reagan III (Jessica) of Conway, Zachary Priest of St. Louis, Taylor (Joshua) Foster of Cabot, and great granddaughters, Bea Foster, Heidi Foster, and Lydia Foster.

Huston was born November 27, 1941 in Forester, Arkansas.  Growing up from difficult beginnings, Huston became a detail-oriented man, dedicated in all he would seek to do.    After the lumber mill in Forester shut down in 1952, he eventually resettled with his father to Russellville, Arkansas, where he would meet the love of his life, Mary Etta Drewry.  Leaving high school early to serve in the US Air Force, Huston would soon return to Russellville to marry Mary Etta in 1961, whom he was deeply devoted to for the remainder of his life.  Throughout his life, Huston was a hard worker.  Huston had a successful career as a construction materials consultant, specifying the design and build for materials for asphalt and concrete roadways throughout the state.  Huston and Mary later moved to Jacksonville to be closer to family, where his was proud of his “home on the lake”, as he would say.  Later in life, the remains of his brother Dan Edward Reagan, whom had died at Pearl Harbor, were found and identified, and Huston made it his passion to have them returned and interned at the Arkansas Veteran’s Cemetery.

Huston will be missed.  His graveside service will be on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in Sherwood, Arkansas at 11:00am. Military Honors by the United States Air Force.

Memorials may be left in his honor to Arkansas Hospice, and we want to thank the volunteers and staff of Arkansas Hospice who helped guide us during Huston’s final days.
