Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Ida Heidi Strock, age 81

Ida Heidi Strock, age 81, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on May 20, 2025. She was born in Neu-Ulm, Bavaria, Germany on October 26, 1943.

Heidi is survived by her children Stephen Strock and Monique Strock; granddaughter Natalie Grove; and significant other of 44 years Royal Harold Smith.

Our Mom was known by all as a hug queen and trail mama. She danced her way through many races and trail runs with her best friend, Amanda, and many other wonderful friends. She called all she knew “Friend”. Our mom came to the community at a difficult time in her life. Truth be told, the community made her stronger and gave her the opportunity to give back. She loved all things heart shaped; clouds, rocks, leaves, and trees. She was an important part of many families as a caretaker. She loved all animals and fed each one. She had many passions, but above all the best friends and family. Her memory will live on in many hearts. We love you dearly, Ms. Heidi.

Heidi was a member of New Commandment Church of Jacksonville. She was also a member of the Arkansas Running/Walking Trail Community. A bench will be dedicated to Heidi at Pinnacle Mountain.

Celebration of life will be Monday, May 26th from 12:30-4:00pm open house at Burns Park Hospitality House; 402 West Military Drive, North Little Rock, AR 72118.

Arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400. www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com

Sincere condolences to the family. I am so very sorry for your loss. May God provide the necessary peace and comfort to your family and friends during this difficult time. Please remember these words of encouragement from the Bible: “Jesus plainly told her: I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” —John 11:20-25.

Heidi took me in and loved me like she had known me all my life. She was a great friend! She was a true inspiration! She is an example to all of us!

I’ve always had a love of hearts, especially in the place of polkadots. But now when I wear them, they’ll have a more special meaning.

Rest in Love dearest Oma – You were born on the same day as my mum, and left with my Michelle. We were stationed together but didn’t know each other until War Eagle. Take Michelle to see the trails, she loved them too. Until we all meet again. My heart goes out to your family.
