It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary K. Rohl, a cherished mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Accompanied by her daughter Diana Ballew, Billy Ballew Husband to Diana Ballew and Son In-Law to Mary as well as the great-granddaughter Elizabeth Lee also was there holding her hand, she passed away on April 21, 2025, leaving this world to be with our Father in Heaven.
Mary left this world at the age of 93, after a life devoted to her love for family, kindness, and the enduring strength of familial bonds. Born on June 20, 1931, Mary’s life was meaningful, her spirit unwavering, and her dedication to those she held dear unparalleled. Mary devoted her life as a stay-at-home wife supporting her husband, Bobby Rohl Sr., during his Navy service in World War I and World War II, joining him in travels across the globe and embracing each new chapter with unwavering resilience and love.
Mary and Bobby Rohl SR was both devout Catholics, as they both made a lasting impact on their faith community, attending the church her father helped establish.
Mary leaves behind a loving and extensive family. Her daughter, Diana G. Ballew, is married to Billy Ballew, and together they raised Elizabeth A. Lee, who is married to Joshua Lee. Elizabeth is the mother of Alexis Ann, Mary’s great-great-granddaughter.
Elizabeth’s mother, Cynthia A. Rohl, was lovingly referred to by Mary as “her Cindy Pooh,” as she was a favorite within the family. Cynthia had an especially close bond with her grandmother but sadly passed away before Mary’s departure.
Mary also shared a close relationship with her daughter Kathy A. Williams, who is married to Rusty Williams. Kathy provided Mary with grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom Mary loved dearly. Mary’s youngest child and first son, Bobby Rohl Jr., is married to Brandy Rohl. Although Bobby and Brandy do not have children together, Bobby Jr. had a son, Alex Rohl, before their marriage. Alex holds the distinction of being Mary’s first-born grandson. Both Alex and Bobby Jr. followed in the footsteps of Bobby Sr., with Bobby Jr. continuing his career with CAT as a driver, the same profession his father retired from.
Alex and Bobby Jr. cherished their time spent together at Heber Springs, where they enjoyed fishing and hunting on Bobby Sr.’s property. These trips created lasting memories for the family. Mary was immensely proud of the men they had become, particularly Alex. Alex often shared his life with Mary, including updates on her great-grandchildren, Madison Rohl and Dawson Rohl, who visited her frequently. Alex consistently demonstrated attentiveness and care for his grandmother, ensuring her needs were met, whether related to electrical work, plumbing, or other forms of assistance. Mary held a special pride for Alex and the dedication he showed to supporting her in her older years when she became a widow. Mary also had a beloved brother, Jimmy DeLeuil, who shared a deep bond with her and remained a presence in her life. Jimmy frequently checked on Mary, bringing comfort and during her later years. Mary cherished her brother dearly and held him close to her heart, grateful for his love and act of care.
Connie Collins, her daughter, sadly passed before the time of her mother and father. Connie was the mother to Jennifer Collins with her having two Children Mary’s grandchildren and a great grandchild. Connie cleaned houses for a living and would always come in the mornings for coffee, made their father each morning.
We will one day be together again as a family in heaven, and until then, we will deeply miss you and lovingly remember your playful spirit with your familiar, “Eww, I’ll get you!”
Love you always.
Rest in peace.
