Raymond Thomas Zuber, Jr., 83, of Benton, Arkansas passed away on May 6, 2025. He was born to Raymond Thomas Zuber and Docia Faye (Roberson) Zuber on September 11, 1941.
Preceding Tom in death are his parents and his sisters, Phyllis Ray McGhee and Nellie Joyce Turbyfill and stepson, Damon Martin Weir.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Sharon, his sister Dorothy, his brother Ken, his four children Ramona, Christa, Tim and Steve, his step-daughter, April Johnson, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Tom loved riding horses, riding his motorcycle, planting and harvesting vegetables, raising chickens and goats, bush-hogging and mowing. Basically, if the ‘work’ could be done outside, it was not work, it was a task he relished. He also loved to visit and laugh with family and friends. He took great joy in being with those he loved.
He was always busy and after working and retiring from B & N Railroad, he took a job with his new Dodge Ram as a ‘Hot Shot’ delivery driver traveling to places he would never have seen otherwise. And those that knew him well were regaled by his many adventures he experienced to New York, Chicago, Loredo, ElPaso the Carolinas and even Kalamazoo. The extra bonus is that his loving wife, Sharon was able to accompany him on many of those adventures.
Tom’s memorial service will be announced at a later date.
