Joseph Henry Harris, a Retired Air Force Tech Sergeant, passed away on June 5, 2025 at home at the age of 81.
He proudly served his country with honor and distinction from March of 1964 through March of 1984. Among his awards, his dedication earned him the Air Force Commendation Medal.
Joseph worked as a deputy sheriff
at the Pulaski County detention center, served as member of both the North Pulaski Volunteer Fire Department and the Gravel Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, and drove cross-country trucks for more than 20 years.
Joseph Harris is survived by his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of 59 years, Linda, as well as their two children, Hillie Harris (Susan), Kenda Latina (Thomas), four grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Joseph Henry Harris will be laid to rest at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock in a private graveside ceremony on June 11, 2025.
